I am Reading a Terrible Novel
It was bad from the beginning, but it's an old New York story, which I find compelling enough to have gotten about 200 pages into just through a few subway rides. (I've been having disatrous luck on the subways recently) Now I feel silly tossing it aside, even though it consistently annoys me.

I tried to read it for a year. It's still on my bookshelf because I persist there has to be a good story in there. There is a good story in there, it's just not written. After the midget town and incubators it was all downhill.
