Mathias: sitting at bar, eating ceasar salad, reading Fanny Howe's Radical Love
Bartender: working behind bar, bleached blonde hair in a kind of Kim Gordon way

B: What are you reading.
[M holds up the book to show her the cover]
B: Is it like [looks at two older guys smoking Marlboro ultra lights, watching basketball] a sex book?
M: Well, characters in the book have sex. But it's a set of novels, not, like, instructional.
B: Oh.
M:
B: Not that I think...
M: Oh sure, sure.

[B returns to tending bar, M returns to reading & finishing ceasar salad]
